More Than Mortgages Pty Ltd (ABN 90 619 067 855) is a mortgage broking firm based in Canberra, Australia. Our brokers are authorised credit representatives of Mortgage Specialists Pty Ltd (Australian Credit Licence 387025).

We are a member of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA member number 152087) and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA member number 48950).

In these Terms, “we”, “us”, “our” and “More Than Mortgages” refer to More Than Mortgages Pty Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to anyone accessing or using our website.

Our website is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. By using the site you agree that you are at least 18 years of age and that you will not:

• use the website in any way that breaches Australian law or any applicable regulation;
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, our servers, or any related systems;
• upload or transmit any virus, malware, or other harmful code;

We will only recommend a credit contract or arrangement that we reasonably believe is not unsuitable for you.

You agree to provide complete and accurate information and to promptly notify us of any material changes to your circumstances during the application process.

Using this website or contacting us through it does not constitute a loan application or an offer of credit. Approval is subject to lender criteria, and individual circumstances will vary.

Before we provide credit assistance we will give you our Credit Guide, which contains important information about our services, the lenders we deal with, how we are paid (including commissions), and how to make a complaint. Lenders typically pay us a commission when a loan we have arranged on your behalf is settled, and may also pay an ongoing (trail) commission while the loan remains in place. The amount of commission varies between lenders and products.

Full details of the commissions we may receive, any volume bonuses or soft-dollar benefits, and any fees we may charge you, are set out in our Credit Guide and the credit proposal disclosure documents we provide before you proceed with an application. We are committed to acting in your best interests and our remuneration arrangements will never determine the credit product we recommend.

When you submit your details through our website, complete an enquiry form, or otherwise provide your contact information to us, you consent to us contacting you by phone, SMS, email or other electronic means in connection with your enquiry and the services you have requested.

Where you have opted in to receive marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time using the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email, by replying STOP to an SMS, or by contacting us directly. We will comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth) in respect of all electronic and telephone marketing.

We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve them quickly and fairly.

Internal complaints. If you have a complaint about our services, please contact us in the first instance by email at heretohelp@morethanmortgages.com.au or by phone on 02 6188 4555. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to provide a written response within 30 days.

External dispute resolution. If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), a free, independent external dispute resolution scheme of which we are a member.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, the law, or industry practice. The current version will always be available on our website and will apply to your use of the site from the date it is posted. We encourage you to review the Terms periodically.

We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, use and disclose your personal information.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory and the courts able to hear appeals from them.
